Programs

Classes & Programs At Ireland’s ATA Martial Arts, we are not interested in just teaching self-defense, we are interested in the complete personal development of each student. Individual attention is a feature of each and every class, allowing all students to progress quickly and confidently toward their personal goals. Our instructors take their responsibility seriously as role models for younger students, teaching them the importance of strong character, leadership and good values. Tiny Tigers (Ages 4-6) The Tiny Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool children (age four through six). This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to focus and follow directions. All classes are taught using the safest, fun and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Karate for Kids program, thereby emphasizing the same important life skill themes and value system. Karate for Kids (Ages 7-12) The Karate for Kids program focuses on the same life skills as the Tiny Tiger program, while catering them towards this older age group. This program puts more emphasis on goal setting, integrity and discipline. This helps the students learn to use goal setting and make good decisions based on those goals, skills that are increasingly valuable later in life. Teens & Adult (Ages 13+) The teen and adult program is more than just a work-out; it’s a program that teaches students to maintain good habits not only in physical activity, but in life in general. Through well structured classes students of all ages are able to train in a safe and supportive environment, enabling them to form friendships that support them on their way to achieving their goals.
